Adjoining Sun Signs
Those born in adjoining Sun signs are also often alike enough through the Mercury or Venus links they may share to be compatible. Why do they share Mercury or Venus links? Because Mercury and Venus are never far from the Sun in a person's chart. Often one or both of these planets might be in a sign adjoining yours in the zodiac. Those relationships that really work may also have their Moon, Mars, other planet or rising sign in their partner's Sun sign, giving them traits or interests in common.

What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility. - George Levinger

"Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief. "- Cicero

"I dare say that we shall one day discover in astrology a good deal of knowledge that has been intuitively projected into the heavens. For instance, it appears that the signs of the zodiac are character pictures, in other words libido symbols which depict the typical qualities of the libido at a given moment..."- C.G. Jung in a letter to Sigmund Freud, June 12, 1911
